What could be better than a snowy weather, a fire place and one orange in hand! Did you imagine the scene? Yeah, I’m sure you did. It’s probably the most serene and heartwarming environment a man can ever ask for, it’s a place where all of your senses are sent free, where you feel yourself getting high in the sky without taking a joint of course. However, why did I choose an orange? Well, there’re many reasons why I chose an orange, one of them is that they are easy to eat and definitely provide you with quick energy your body needs.

Dr. Tae Yun Kim, the author, lecturer and martial arts teacher states: “An orange strengths your emotional body, encourages a general feeling of joy, well-being and cheerfulness.”

Relatively speaking, oranges relieve constipation, fight against infections, regulate blood pressure, protect your skin cells from damage and protect your vision and enhances it because they’re rich in carotenoid compounds which are converted to vitamin A.

These are the health benefits of oranges but are there any other ways in which we benefit from this tasty fruit? I mean can we use it for decoration? Is it possible?

Yes, it is. Orange peels can be used to create fascinating roses. Imagine the orange color and the shape of a rose combined together, isn’t that just amazing!  My grand-ma has always been and still my wonderland, she’s been living with us for as long as I can remember. When she’s around I feel as if the house is warmer and happier. One day when I returned from school, holding one orange in hand, she wanted to amuse me as she always did, she asked me if I knew how to peel it, I answered yes. Then she rephrased her question and asked again if I knew how to make something while peeling it, here I couldn’t say anything more, I kept silent and handed her the orange. It was really one of the most beautiful moments of my life, watching her using that sharp knife, a light-fingered woman like her was definitely an artist beyond imagination. After seconds, she handed me a rose made out of an orange. So, in the following lines, I’m going to show you how to make a beautiful orange rose the way my grand-ma did.

You’re going to need one orange and a nice sharpened knife. Peel the orange all the way around and make sure it doesn’t break. The shape of the orange gives you nice petals. When you’re finished, break a bit of the edge at the end of the peel and start rolling it around and around in a circle for the petal to be formed in a quite nicely at top. Surely, you’ll not know the difference between this petal and an ordinary rose.
